SERVICES / Content Management
A CMS is a great way for you to control as little or as much of your own website content as you would like, perfect for companies that need control of rapidly-changing information such as employment openings, event calendars and other constantly-updated material. A content management system (CMS) enables you to write new or edit and delete content for a web site or web page via a web browser and having that new or changed content appear directly on the website.
A CMS usually consists of the following elements:
| - |
A backend database containing the information. This content can be job listings, articles, images and such. The databases can be XML, MySQL, etc. |
| - |
A web-based publishing portion, a “mask” or template through which the content (job listings, images, etc.) are shown. |
| - |
An administration portion. This section allows authorized individuals access to the site to create, edit or delete content. All good CMS allow access to this administration section via a secure user login and strong password. |
